Bound Brook, Spring 1997

On Sunday, April 20th, the Mechanical Music Show drew hundreds of phonograph enthusiasts to Bound Brook, NJ. Dealers from all over the Country and Canada met with buys from all over the world.

By 9am, the main hall of the Ukranian Cultural Center was cramed full of buyers and sellers.

This large original Nipper, priced at $1,200, kept guard over the various Victor phonographs

One of the more interesting machines at the show was this Edison Suitcase Standard with a Bettini reproducer.
One of only three such machines known in existance, this one belongs to Mr. Sam Sheena.

A close-up of the Bettini attachment shows the larger diaphragm and wider diameter reproducer throat.
